Welcome to BBTB2~~~~ I am your host this week, I decided to choose the skate off of Winter Woodland. When I was little, my Dad, would take my sister and I skating at a local park in our city. The beautiful pond would freeze over and glisten with snow. We would go inside this small little building to get warm and my Daddy would make sure to get us a nice warm hot cocoa to warm up. Sure brings back lots of fun memories. I wanted to create a little scene like the one I remember. This particular park in my city is the most beautiful ever. All around it are gorgeous and cozy homes with all kinds of people skating, sledding and just enjoying eachother in the Winter... Counting down the days until Christmas is a given here at the Norman household..My 6 year old told me this morning that we had 18 days until Christmas..EEk..We had one huge snowstorm here last week that snowed us all in..(sigh) My kids and I were so happy...Heheheheheh...We slept in and watched movies and just relaxed..Fun stuff..Today I have a project for you from The Cutting Cafe...Regina asked us to do a Christmas pocket..I decided to fill mine with some Yummy Dove candy..So Fun..Tomorrow is a big day for me....It is my Birthday~~~~~When I was little I never liked having a December Birthday because my parents would always say "Well ya know Christmas is right around the corner" heeheheh..but of course we always celebrated it..:) Now that I am older Birthday's instead of being fun have become more meaningful..."Remember to count your blessings, life is so short" Hugs to all...

Hello Friends..It has been so long it seems like since I last posted..My little family has been sick on top of still needing to keep up with everyday life.Today my project features a set that involves Breast Cancer from The Cutting Cafe. I wanted to make a special little ribbon in a frame to remind myself that some people do beat Cancer....Which is such a blessing..Sometimes Cancer to people that have never been affected by it seems so un-real. Even though I didn't lose my Dad to Breast Cancer, I still lost him to Cancer. I hope and pray that someday Cancer is cured for everyone. Hope u enjoy my project. I still heart it. Welcome to The Cutting Cafe project using the Gratitude stamps Fall is in the air, which means pumpkins, sweaters, football, walks kicking colorful leaves and much more. I am very thankful to live where I live, especially during the Autumn season. Every year on our drive to school my kids and I choose "ONE" tree apiece to be "Our" very own tree..We drive by it every morning on our way to school and watch as it changes it's beautiful colors and eventually all the leaves fall to the ground. The kids get a kick out of pretending that a certain tree is their own. The colors that the trees change just takes our breath away..(SIGH)~~~~~~

Each and every year, I begin the Holidays anxious for the possibilities that are ahead of me. I love everything about them. Halloween is certainly one of my top Favorites. Welcome to BBTB2 challenge this week....I adore pie, so this week I decided to pick the pie cut off of Paper Dolls, Now, here is a little secret, for some odd reason my pie wouldn't cut off of that cart so I decided to use Simply Charmed instead...Pie is Pie right? No biggie...Anywho! That's the beauty of this challenge blog is if you don't have the cart or for some reason like mine is doesn't cut you can use any image that the team member picks off any cart...I decided to make little note cards...I couldn't decide which pie to do so I did all three..Cherry, Pumpkin and Lemon..Inside I added some line paper to add little notes to it..Cute HUH! Welcome to BBTB2 Challenge..I wasn't going to do the challenge this week because I had a horrible headache...and than I spoke with my Bff on the phone Lori and she is actually hosting the challenge this week, and asked us to use a school image from Locker Talk...I thought this ribbon was perfect for my little stamps from Papertrey Ink...It is always special to hear those three little words "You Did It"
I felt so bad saying I couldn't do it..So I headed downstairs to my craft area.

Strawberry Picking....

It just doesn't feel like Summer unless one is eating a big bowl of strawberries..(sigh)..This year my kiddos and I went Strawberry picking..It was very hot that day, but my little ones just picked and picked. This was the first year that we had done this. I have decided we will add this to our list of family traditions. (wink)..Anyway, today I have a project I made for The Cutting Cafe....I used the sets called Scallop Circles and Fruit Greetings. Greetings on this beautiful Fourth of July~~~~~~ Today is BBTB2 challenge..We were asked by Heather to use the star fish off of Lifes a Beach. I am a little late getting mine up and running because I spent the day yesterday at the Beach with my family. We had so much fun, My kiddos remind me of little fish, as we spent all day swimming and building sand castles, collecting shells, sea glass....It was relaxing and fun.At one point while Belle and Aiden played with Grandpa, my Mom was reading on her E-Reader and my hubby and I layed on a blanket listening to the sounds of our laughing children and the gorgeous waves.(sigh)...What a day! I had so much fun creating this little scene..The picture below my project is a picture of some sand stars I made of my little family of four..LOL...Hope u enjoy my project and it inspires u to make your own little star fish..Make sure your projects are new for this challenge...We love to see what u all come up with and if your creation is chosen u get to have a blinkie to add to your blog. Dreaming of Sunshine and Smiles~~~~~~

This project I created for The Cutting Cafe made my heart smile..I am Dreaming of Sunshine and always praying for smiles..My little ones have a way of making me smile and appreciate each day. Yesterday, they really wanted to go have ice cream at a place we have never been. Grandpa had taken them on his boat fishing and afterwards ice cream to a local fish store on Sunday..They swore by this place being the coolest ever and having the best ice-cream they had ever eaten. Two days in a row of ice-cream..Hmmmm...Alright..the curiosity of this magical place had my interest alone, so off we headed for the worlds best ice cream...LOL...This place wasn't what I expected, just a small little place off one of our local Lakes...not this spectacular place my children had mentioned, but as I walked out of the small little shop that sold only about 8 different ice cream flavors and small little minnows for fishing I realized that my 8 and 5 year old just taught me a very important lesson at that moment..happiness is not the place, but the direction in which it took to get there..what I mean by this is that my children loved and cherished the time they spent with Grandpa S...it wasn't that this place was the coolest place they have ever been, but that they got to experience getting ice cream with Grandpa at the fish store he goes to....it wouldn't of matter where this place was or what it looked like..in their eyes those moments were disney like......and now I get to be a part of that memory of the fish store and the best ice cream ever...even if it was the day after:) If u read all this I thank u, as it helps me to gather my thoughts through writing...I hope u like my project using the Flip-Flop and envelope from Regina's shop..and it goes perfect with my fish story...Hugs

The Summer has arrived, swimming, slumber parties, cook-outs, vacations, isn't it wonderful? The sun has been showing his smiling face here in my city, but today was a rain day. Hello to all my friends out there...I am sorry I haven't posted in a while...Life has gotten in the way...Happy Mothers Day to all of you..Isn't being a Mother the best thing ever!...My kids keep me on my toes...Plus..I love my own Momma so much..She is my bestest friend...I can only hope that Isabelle and Aiden feel the need to be in my life daily when they grow up.. Welcome to BBTB2~~~I am the host this week and I decided to pick any egg off of the Easter solution cart and or any egg off of any cart.....Yesterday, was a great day as Spring was finally here. I cleaned four of my flower beds out...It was the first time I worked outside since Winter, there is something about getting your hands in the soil and preparing the ground for the flowers to bloom that brings a sense of peace to one's heart~~~~~~~~I decided to use the beautiful Regina Easter stamps from her site called the Cutting Cafe...This set is called Everyday Elisha Jean and Friends....U can purchase her amazing stamps here... It is officially Spring....So why is it in the 20's today? EEK..Anyway, I had a special Birthday card to make so I decided to make it with my challenge this week for BBTB2. I personally don't have a lot of the newer ones so I decided to use the Winnie the Pooh cart. I just love Piglet. Ah, Spring is in the air. The chirping birds I hear as I lay in my cozy bed in the morning is music to my ears. The flowers peeking through the ground as they make their way into the season. Spring and warm weather is on my mind, that is why when Wendy from Monique Griffith Designs asked me to be a guest designer I was thrilled. I knew that my Double page layout had to be about Springtime and all it's splendor which includes, birds and bees, flowers, trees, Mr. Sun, butterflies, and of-course bunnies. This Layout was created mostly with the darling cart called Kates ABC's. This cart is so cute....Umbrella girl was cut at 4-1/4, Butterflies on top of lay-out were cut at 2", Bird and Egg cut at 2 1/4, Bee with crown cut at 3", Butterflies at bottom of layout cut at 3 1/4. Next, I used the fabulous carts listed. The Beehive was cut using Create a Critter 3 1/4, My Community was used cutting the tree at 3 1/4, and the fence was cut at 2 3/4, Zoobaloo was used for the clouds and are 3 1 /4, and the sweet little sun is from DoodleCharm cut at 2 1/4...Lots of DP's were used including Echo Park, Bazzills, Coordinations, and Basic Grey.

Today was one of those days where you sit and reflect....I thought about how very lucky I truly am to have such a caring and helpful husband. The hard times I have been through this past year just knocked me right down. Without the support and patience and love from my husband I wouldn't have known what to do? I do have some wonderful friends, but I also have some that have made me question if they were really friends in the first place. My own idea of a true friendship is that one should love and cherish you when your at the hardest place in your life, (when you are the hardest to love,) because that is when people that are having such a bad time need you the most. I continue on my healing everyday, God, My husband, my two beautiful children love me unconditionally...It is coming up next week the day of the death of my sweet stepmother who passed away two months before my Daddy. Married 21 years and like soul mates. The love and dedication that they had for eachother was so sweet. I miss them both still so much, but they are exactly where they need to be. (Together!) I am sorry to ramble on about this, but I find writing about it helps heal my heart. Thank you so much for all your prayers and love...
Now it is time for a change of pace...It is BBTB2 time! The challenge this week was to use the Ladybug from Boys will be Boys...Heather Binnie our Leader... picked this cut...I didn't have this cart so I used Kate's ABC..This cart is so cute, It is for sure going to be one of my Fav's...I hope you like that I used a canning jar cut to keep the little bug in her home...I cut the jar out of acetate...Cute Huh? I loved using my Basic Grey papers, Martha Stewart Punches, and that ribbon is so Yummy...I also threw in some of my favorite Papertrey Jute and buttons..You have to look real close to see Ms. Ladybug herself in that Jar...Thanks from the bottom of my heart for stopping by...Tight Hugs.....

Today is BBTB2 Blog hop..I am getting excited about all the special things coming up very soon. For Example, Spring and all it's slendor is right around the corner. When Spring approaches, the Easter Bunny makes his appearance, The little Birdies start building their nest, the warm Spring breeze blows, and my favorite flowers start to bloom..(sigh) It made me happy when my sweet, dependable, kind, DT sister Carole picked to either do a bird cage from Straight from the Nest and or a bird house from Stretch your Imagination...I decided to make a cute little bookmark/tag for my little cookbooks..using Stretch your Imagination's birdhouse.....That cookbook you see in the background is one of my fav's, it is called The Farm Chicks IN THE Kitchen by Teri Edwards and Serena Thompson...Love it and my bookmark/tag says exactly what the book makes me do...(SMILE).... I was happy that Mr. Groundhog predicted an early Spring...I had a ton of fun making this card for BBTB2 this week. I really popped my clouds. It is almost February and my mind is focused on Valentine's stuff..Actually, I have been thinking about this Holiday since January 1st, I decided for the BBTB2 Blog Hop today to create a little holder for my love tags out of frosted bags. I took a few little bags and cut the top off of them and sewed them to another single bag with my sewing machine to make some pockets. Next, I used lots of colorful paper from Papertrey Ink and made little love tags, I added little sayings with papers and 3D stickers and pop dots and my Cricut Machine... In the top of the bag I filled it with shredded papers and cut out hearts from the Love Struck cart that my talented DT sister Maria picked for this week. I stuck them on little white sticks that I got at M's in the baking section and stuck a Yummy piece of Dove candy to the heart. I also filled the little bag with candies. The picture below the bag are of the tags that are in the bag..I thought you might want a closer look..(smile) I also used the hearts cuttlebug folder on them... Oh the weather outside is frightful.....But the view is so delightful...It is beautiful outside, but we have a huge snow storm going on...EEK...No school for the kids...YES! Welcome to BBTB2 day. The weather outside is frightful, so that usually means Santa is going to come real soon, so don't blink! Do you have your Christmas shopping done? EEK! I have one present bought....Hopefully my Little daughter Belle won't read this, but I bought her a baby bug for Christmas...She is only 8 and she loves to craft with Mommy...I can't wait to see her face. Hello everyone! Yesterday I took a Copic Class to be certified as a Copic Instructor. It was a really long class, but I had a ton of fun and learned a lot of very valuable information. I am waiting for the teacher to send us our certification blinkies..Yippee! Today I worked on a stocking that I cut out with my pazzle machine using Regina's stamps from her store The Cutting Cafe. My pazzle machine is awesome and I love the chirpping little sound it makes when it cuts. (sigh) The Cutting Cafe has such gorgeous stamps that you can either cut out with your pazzle or print out and color with your very own computer printer. WOW! The Holiday season is right around the corner, and nothing helps say Christmas, but a Santa's hat. (wink)~~~~~~This festive time of year is my favorite. It all starts from about October till after New Years Day. My wheels are spinning trying to decide how to decorate my house for the Holidays. Summer is over for the Norman family. My dd is starting school today. She is pretty nervous because she is a big Third grader. Geez! I will miss her. She was so very helpful this Summer with her little brother and they played very well together. He starts Kindergarten next Fall so when that happens I will be all tears. Today is my Dad's Birthday...He would have been 64 today. The gift he gave me most of all was the gift of his love. He was a very loving man. I miss him each and everyday. Today is Monday the 16th of August which means BBTB2 time...Today is also a very special day for me because it is my baby boy's Birthday. Little A is 5 years old today. Eek..My Little boy who loves his Momma so much is growing to be such a big boy. This child of mine makes me very happy with his love for anything that has wheels. Happy Monday it is BBTB2 time, I am excited to participate in this end of the month blog-hop especially because this is the first one I have done since my dad's death. I miss him a lot but I am sure you all know that. Thanks so much for continuing on with me during these unexpected things that have happened in my life. Some of the things that make me very happy in my life R simple things like Fall weather, warm sweaters, Yummy Apple pie, watching my hubby get excited about Football season, and Halloween. I know I am a bit early for this type of card, but heck it is never too early for your heart to smile, so I chose to make my ice-cream pumpkin cone Halloweenish. Hello friends.....
It has been such a long painful journey for me. Losing a parent is the hardest thing I have ever had to endure. I love God so much and know that he has a plan for each one of us, but it still has been very difficult. I miss creating and hope that you guys are still out there, this healing time was something I needed to do. I still have hard days with lots of tears, but everyday the pain gets a little less. I really feel like tragedies teach people a lot about who really cares about you in your life. It is so easy to walk with someone during the happy times, but one really finds out who their true friends are when the hard times happen. Unfortunely, I have experience this during my dad's death. The people I really thought would be here for me weren't. I am praying about the hurt I feel for those people as well and trying to except that I still need to keep pushing on, that maybe those people weren't really my friends anyway. I need to continue to keep my faith and be grateful for people that really love me. I am still a Christian, Wife, mother, daughter friend and a designer. So anyway I created today, it felt good to let all that energy out on something I love so much. This card was made with the sweet sweet Regina Easter's stamps from The Cutting Cafe's beautiful digital stamps. I am so grateful to her for being patient with me. She is a wonderful friend. Hi again....My post below explains why I have been missing in action. Please know that I am thinking of all of you and miss creating so much...Right now I am slowly picking the pieces up of my heart and putting it back together. My Daddys funeral is June 10th and it will give me a bit of closure to not say goodbye, but see ya later until we are united once again in the arms of our savior...Your friendships and love mean so much to me...I will be back as soon as I can, Tight hugs to all....Krista
I write with great sadness in my heart today...My Daddy passed away. I want to thank all of you for your prayers and support you have shown me. I will miss you Daddy and your big beautiful blue eyes. I will miss the laughter we shared together, but most of all I will miss the love that you always expressed to me, there was never a phone call or a visit that you didn't tell me that you loved me. I will cherish the times we spent together, sledding as a child with Missy and I, trips Up-North, Feeding the ducks on Sunday, Our Motorcycle rides and our dinners together and so so much more. The picture below is of my Daddy and I almost 11 years ago at my wedding, the other picture is of my DD Belle when she was first born, I know that you are at peace now and once again you are reunited with Val (my Stepmother)....and you are together forever. Hello all! today is BBTB2....So if you have a little girl in your house like I do she just loves Miss Hannah Montana. I really do feel like she is a pretty good gal for the moment that Hannah......at least the Disney show rocks....So we r on board at my house with this show...(I have even found a chuckle or two coming out of my mouth)...So this week we were asked to create something with the HM cart. Hello friends!
Today was a bittersweet time for me in my life. Belle's communion was today and I was very emotional. I am so proud of my little girl as she is growing up and is an excellent student as well as having a very old soul at the age of seven, with so much faith!!!!!! it is amazing and has to sometimes remind me about God's love and his decisions for each of us. The bitter moment for me was that my dad who is suffering from cancer couldn't be there to see her on her special day. Time with my father is going to be very short as it is God's decison when the gates will open and welcome my father home. As I sat in the pew today and watched my seven year old, tears flowed down my face and I was reminded again how very special each of our relationships are with one another. I will spend the last days with my dad and try and remind myself of the memories that I will always have and treasure forever. I wanted to share these pictures of Belle and her daddy today with you, I hope you don't mind? They made me think of the times I have had with my father in my life. Thanks for letting me share. I have been so busy and stressed since this all started with my stepmother's passing and my dad's illness. Hello to all my friends! I have been missing in action. Less than 2 weeks ago it not only rained on my life it poured.(sigh) I lost my stepmother to heart disease. She was a wonderful woman and my dad loved her so. They were married 21 years. This all happened while my dad fell very ill in the hospital. He is still sick, so if any of you could take a moment to pray for my Daddy (David) I would much appreciate it. Thanks all. Alright to switch gears today is BBTB2. We were to use the Cake cut from SweetTreats. I wanted to brighten mine up because I am so ready for Springtime. Happy Sunday....Oh My Goodness so I made a creation with The Cutting Cafe Stamps last night. So Fun...I cut this cute little Easter basket and eggs out with my pazzles. Used my cuttlebug to emboss the eggs..(smile)...This card basket opens up inside and reveals a big old "HAPPY EASTER".........I loved the tactile approach on this card to actually weave the strips of paper in and out of the basket. (wink)....

Happy Friday to each and everyone of you. Wow! Long week huh? I am so happy to get to relax with my little family and just enjoy eachother's company. I miss my little Isabelle when she is at school all day. We all miss Daddy and grateful that he dosen't have a job that requires he work weekends.(wink) Anyhow, guess what today is? Yep! It is Polkadoodle Day. I had so much fun creating this little card. The Back to Nature CD has some of the cutest little animals on it. That little sheep you see is a stamp from that CD, I just dressed her up a bit and gave her some cozy fleece.(smile). The hills on this Cd are made with the papers from Love and Marriage. This Cd is full of everything. I just cut half circles out to give dimension to my scene and overlapped them. Hope you all are keeping nice and warm we here in my city are facing a huge snowstorm. 6 to 9 inches....EKKKK....I have been wanting to keep my projects nice and bright so I can bring some Spring into my life. When I saw this little Elephant that Sandi Kelly picked as our cut this week, I couldn't help but think Baby....This card reminds me so much of my little Isabelle when she was in dance classes. Happy Valentine's Day friends. Love is in the air. Today we made little Valentine Cupcakes with cute little sprinkles. My husband took my daughter Belle sledding while my son and I played a learning game together and snuggled in our warm cozy home. It was really nice for my DD and DH to spend some Daddy/Daughter time together. They had a blast and my Hubby says he is going to pay for that pain for the whole week. Today is Polkadoodle Day. I made a cake shape card. The Cd I used was called Love and Cherish. This cd is full of stunning images. I decorated the cake with Martha Stewart pearls. The tulle used is a beautiful pink color. Lots of embossing on the cake. The sentiment is from The Cutting Cafe, called Wedding Congrats, such elegant font....Thanks for stopping by..See ya soon...

Hello friends it is Monday which means BBTB2 Time....I always look foward to creating for Mondays because lots of inspiration to look forward to..Especially it being a Monday...(sigh).....4 more days until Friday..LOL... Happy Super Bowl Day....Today I made Heart Pancakes for my family...It was a lot of fun and even more fun to eat them. Hello Friends it is BBTB2 time....It is super cold here...Brrrrrrr..........Friday our schools were cancelled ..Yipee..I got to have my Isabelle home for a three day weekend. So do you have any New Year Resolutions? Hmmm..I have many that I think about, and that I wish I could accomplish. I think that sometimes life gets in the way, My theory is that 50% of the time life is what you make it and the other 50% are just things that are out of our control. Like the economy, accidents, sickness, toxic relationships with family or friends etc. I do however believe that God and prayer is super important in ones life. The main two Resolutions in my life at this point in time is to try and be happier and content with what I have and who I am. Try not to focus on what I don't have, but what I do have. Sometimes hard work and a good education doesn't always mean happiness. Enough rambling on, but I am going to leave you with this last thought for you to ponder. Because I said that I am going to try and focus on the positive things in my life, a few positive things are my family and friends. I love being a mommy to my two beautiful children and a wife to a very hardworking man. The friends I do have are awesome...(you know who you are)....Last but not least I am thankful for this blog, a place to share my thoughts, and my creations...Thanks for taking the time to read this. My very first project for the Design team The Cutting Cafe. These one of a kind printable stamps are so fun. I used Valentine Borders and the Itty Bitty hearts for the background......I took a Martha Stewart punch and punched little hearts for the flowers and put a button and Jute through the button from Papertrey Ink. Paper is from Papertrey Ink called Ripe Avocado. Martha Stewart Butterfly and pearl. Zig -Zag pink Felt. Thank you so much for taking a sec to stop by to see my creations today. God really is great! I just wanted to share a cute little note my 7 year old Belle handed me today. It went like this.

Welcome to Monday and BBTB challenge. This week we were asked to use the Winter Woodland cart. The branch on this cart was our task to accomplish. It was a ton of fun to use this branch on my card with the Tilda stamp. I have been buying these stamps way back when they didn't have hair..HA...I just bought some more and I am going to really put my stamps and copics to good use once my new stamps arrive. This will be my last post for BBTB until January as the whole team is on Vacation...Sigh~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
