Have a Berry Sweet Birthday!!

Our amazing leader over at The Cutting Café asked us to alter something with the stores darling paper files...I chose the Berry Sweet Backgrounds. I printed the dots paper and stamped sweet strawberries on them after I cut them out with a punch. I colored them with my amazing copics...and tied a luscious pink twine around jar for a sweet Birthday gift. I bought my favorite nail polish in two sweet colors by Essie.. and Beeswax lip balm in strawberry:) to add in the altered jar. I just used a canning jar and popped on an altered darling top...I think it is an amazing gift. I will add one special thing in the jar before I give it to the Bday girl..Shhh..thanks for looking:)Krista

I'm so proud of you!

Today is The Cutting Cafe project day:) I have been thinking so much about Hot Cocoa for days. I try to head over to Starbucks and get that yummy white chocolate kind. My DD was picked to be one of the Ambassadors for 7th grade, which is a huge honor, based on grades, personality, kindness, leadership, etc.......so that will give us a great excuse to head to Starbucks. Regina the owner asked us to put some green in our creations. I decided to use the cup here. St Patrick's Day is coming up so quick so I imagined me with my corn beef sandwich having a tall glass of Cocoa with whipped cream:) Yummy.. Thanks for looking... WOW! Almost, Valentine's Day.....First Christmas and zoom right into LOVE day:) I have always appreciated Valentine's Day just because it reminds me how lucky I am to have married my soul mate:) He takes such good care of me and our family. It is wonderful to have married someone that truly loves you for better or for worse, through sickness and health until death do us part....SIGH!    Regina from The Cutting Café, asked us to design with her files this week using the calendar set. I decided to take the special month of February and focus on it:) Lots of wonderful images and the set comes with the whole entire 2015 year. Christmas is right around the corner...Awwwww....Some of my shopping is finished, but presents are arriving each day. I just adore Christmas and all that it brings. It is chilly outside so nothing like a nice warm pair of mittens wont cure:) The Cutting Café asked us to design a shaker card and I picked this cute mitten here I just love shaking these sweeties, they r so festive and fun:)

BOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! It's that time again..Where the leaves are changing, The hot cocoa is bubbling with big fluffy marshmallows, The stars are glowing magically in the night, Kiddos are excited about what to be for Halloween, which by the way, I just order my kids costumes last night:) Halloween decorations are bursting with lights...I just love this season. I try and enjoy this time so much. From October until New Years, it just flies by:( Today, I share with you my BOOOOOO shaker card from The Cutting Café..This has to be one of my most favorite projects ever:) I simply adored making this card. If you look really close you can see I embossed my vellum and cardstock with a pumpkin embossing folder..that was so fun..EEK...Please don't miss out! Happy Beginning of this Fallish weather. Designing at The Cutting Café  around the holidays is such a blessing:) So many possibilities and creative energy flowing through. Back to school time is always bittersweet for this Mommy. I love all the back to school supplies and shopping fun, but I do miss my kids during the day😐I decided to make a Apple Treat Box:) so fun, vibrant colors and stuffed them with some Yummy! Caramel candies:) What a neat idea to give to a special teacher to start the year. I used a lot of different papers:) Stampin Up, Bazzills Martha Stewart butterfly:) Martha Stewart tags... Happy Summer Friends...Alright there are so many Birthdays in the Summer at my house:) My Daughters, My Sons, Nephew, and my nieces:) So we do tons of celebrating around here:) This week over at The Cutting Café, I made a Birthday Hat.....I was inspired by these Yummy Hunter boots:)below the hat:) I wanted a pair so bad, they were quite pricey:( EEK...But I thought if I start my collection in black first, I will get a lot of wear out of them in the Fall and Spring:) So I got the boots in black...If I really, really enjoy them this Fall, I will maybe get another pair for Christmas in my favorite color pink:) But for now Black goes with anything:) What a fun project, head over to The Cutting Café") Enjoy, Krista

Oink! Oink!

Oink! Oink! What is cuter than a Piggy Bank?????? A Piggy Bank that is actually made out of a adorable little piggy:) Today is my project for The Cutting Café. I decided to select this Block set to make a darling Piggy bank to create today. As you can see I layered the pigs snout to give it more dimension:) I cut a tiny slit in the back of the box to make the tail look 3D:) Of course the top of the box already is set with a slit for one to store all their coins and bills in it:) Sooooo fun...Head on over to The Cutting Café to see all the new files and darling stamps:) HUGS

Hello! I know what you are thinking:) Easter already:) Christmas just came and went so stinkin fast:( It always is so bittersweet after, mostly bitter:( because I miss all the family time, the cuddles when the 2 littles and my hubby goes back to work..(sigh) But life must go on....:) Easter is one of my favorite Holidays and since this is my last post for The Cutting Café for this year:) I will be off the team for 4 months:( Break time:) Hopefully I will be back in May:) YIPPEE!!!!! WOW, this week over at The Cutting Café was filled with so much JOY! It is really beginning to feel like Christmas around here. What a nice, relaxing Thanksgiving we had:) I just love spending time with my hubby and kids.  Now, we get to look forward to watching our children get so excited about the arrival of Mr. Clause himself! My son keeps counting down the days, and my daughter keeps adding things to her list.....It seems the gifts the kids want are getting more expensive as they continue to get taller. HA! I love Christmas and everything that surrounds it.  This week I did a stocking box from a file over from The Cutting Café.  (it can be filled with special treats!!!!! ABC The Cutting Cafe Blog Hop

     Welcome to The Cutting Café blog hop...I am in full School mode this week as my darling little ones headed back! My 6th grader is so excited about being a "leader" this year at her Elementary.....This is my babies last year of Elementary school, sniff, sniff. Welcome to the day, I reveal, my project for The Cutting Café.  This Big Gift Bag and Loopy Bow I worked with from Regina's shop is simply gorgeous and FUN! Yesterday, it hit a 100 degrees in my city....we decided to stay inside with the air going because there was a weather advisory:( EEK!

I love Summer

Boy O"Boy....Summer is such a beautiful time of year, but in all honesty it hasn't been much of a Summer here in my State:( Lots of chilly days, we haven't even really used our pool that much because it just hasn't been that warm...Yesterday, we headed a couple hours away to the beautiful Lake Michigan:) although it was windy and chilly at times. The scenery was magnificent:) and being with my family was the frosting on the cake:) My hubby has vacation this week, so we try to cram in a week of fun:) Today is the day I am going to share my Cutting Cafe project...This Butterfly file is so stinkin cute:) I colored this adorable little girl catching butterflies with my copics and she fit perfect with this file. Coffee and Friends~~~~~~

Welcome to the reveal of The Cutting Café stamps this week..I had so much fun coloring this Tilda stamp to stick on this darling Coffee Cup file from Regina's shop:) I love that one can either print out these stamps and color, or you can use a machine to cut out the files, I used my pazzles, and I must say it cut like butter:)  I printed the coffee saying on Vellum and it worked like a charm..I added "and a good book" on the bottom of the stamp because this cute little Tilda~~~~reminded me so much of my daughter Belle, who loves to read...What a perfect day it would be with a light vanilla coffee with whipped cream and a good friend, chatting about a great novel...(sigh)...Thanks for stopping by..I hope my creation will inspire you to head over to The Cutting Café..I am linking this to Paper Crafting Journey and Lacy Sunshine Challenge...World Art Wednesday...and WhoopsiDaisy Challenge (anything pink).....The Paper Shelter (Anything goes)Thanks, Krista

Mickey Mouse Hat~~~~~~~

Hello..It seems so very long since my last post..I have been busy with lots of different things, including having lots of fun with my love of crocheting:) The subtitle of my blog is exactly what I want my blog to be.."Sew Much More Than Paper" that is why I add any and all of my creations to this new blog look that I designed myself..:wink" I love scrapbooking, and sewing, and reading and crocheting..so why not share! I made this Mickey Mouse hat a couple of weeks ago, but being so busy with my kiddos and end of the year stuff I didn't have time to post it:) It was actually a order from a lady that lives in Florida, home of Mickey Mouse himself. Happy St. Patrick's Day

I can't believe that it is March already! The sun is starting to make an effort to peek out at us:) One of the reason I love the Month of March is because of St. Patrick's Day.  It has always been a tradition in our family on this Holiday to make Corn Beef Sandwiches, homemade coleslaw,and Choc mint Cake.........YUM! I decided to ink up this sweet image by La- La Land Crafts called Leprechaun Luka.  I had a "Grand Old Time" coloring him with my copics.  Fun!                    I have been doing lots of other things as far as creating goes.  Sometimes, in the Winter I do a lot of crocheting because it is so relaxing. I made this Minnie Mouse Hat for a friend of mine that is going to Disney from our cold State.. Her little girl needed something fun to wear to and from the airport right?  Please take a look around and if you decide you like what you see, Please leave me a comment or become a follower for a chance to win this hat for your little darling. Why Sew Much More Than Paper with Bella and Aidees Mom?
I started this blog years ago, when I decided to go full force into scrapbooking.  At the time I was having so much fun playing with my cricut and spending many hours on the cricut board, that I decided to make a blog to showcase my creations.  I think the hardest part about starting this blog was trying to figure out what I was going to call it, What was I passionate about? What were my hobbies? What were my favorite foods? Finally, it just clicked, my children at the time were 5 and 2 and they were indeed my whole life. I had even decided not to go back to my love of teaching after Belle was born because I wanted to watch every move my children made, they are only little once right? So I decided to name it Bella and Aidees Mom, short for Isabelle and Aiden.  As my kiddos started getting a bit older they had a sense of pride in me having chosen their names.
      Over the years, I have had a love/hate relationship with this blog. I am the kind of person that wears my heart right on my sleeve, so once in a while when things that have happened in my life that aren't so pleasant like losing my Dad I tend to heal some of my hurt by writing it down, in this case typing it on my blog.  Most of the people that visit my blog come to see what I have created and at times I have felt like they were bored with my feelings, but common sense tells me that I am who I am, if people don't come because they don't care about my feelings or the real me, I can't help who I am.  For many years, I have been on a few design teams and also I have been a guest designer. Most of the people I have met through this hobby are so nice and creative, but I have ran into a few that weren't so kind and very selfish. Overall I have enjoyed my wonderful experiences and the not so wonderful ones. I have grown to accept good and bad experiences and moved on.
      I decided to add to my name a couple of weeks ago, I mean I was thinking of a change~~~~I am a person that doesn't like change, but I wanted something different and fun.  I tossed some names around with my husband and daughter about what I should call my blog, but I kept getting this uneasy feeling about changing it.  My kids mean everything to me, and there was a reason why I picked this name years ago.  I decided to satisfy my heart by adding to my name and also keeping the same one.  "Sew Much More Than Paper with Bella and Aidees Mom", came from my love of sewing and crocheting etc, but still honors my love for paper and especially my love for my childen:)  I will be adding lots of different projects showcasing lots of my hobbies and not just scrapbooking~~~~~to my blog as I just designed and changed the look of my whole blog. So please stop by again:) Hugs to all, Krista

let it snow~~~~

It is  definitely Winter outside in my part of the world:) Lots of snow! Today is the first day back from our vacation from BBTB2. We were asked to create a project featuring a snowflake.
